World Cup Fever?
Hello again folks !
As many of you are now aware there is a big competition going on at the moment and I don’t mean the one in Brazil.
I talking about the Atlas World Cup. Many local businesses have been entered and the winner will receive a trip on the water with us.
You can check out who they are by clicking the link.
I’ve been amazed by the interest this has raised and it does promise a bit of good fun and banter as the competition progresses.
Over the week just gone we’ve had some very calm weather and blistering sunshine but I’m sure Mother Nature may ask a price for this sometime in the near future. It was so calm on Monday that we actually dropped anchor in the middle of Morecambe Bay and enjoyed the conditions. We also had a brief appearance of the dolphins.
That said, I was at Lancaster University on Tuesday evening and we had what can only be described as a monsoon. The weather soon return to sunny conditions on Wednesday then on Thursday we had Kate and her team from Blackpool Tower out for a short trip.
On Friday we had Pete and Fran, Fred and Hazel who were out for an introduction to sailing. Again this was a very calm and one in which Pete was celebrating his 40th birthday.
So with the sun shining again it’s on we go with another week. If you would like to come out why not have a look at what we have available on our Sailing Programme Page ? The page shows sailing trip one month at a time and also lists the Milebuilder we also.
If you want details on the Mediterranean cruises go to our Greek Islands Page ?
Finally, I was sent a picture of the famous Wyre Light that we pass when out sailing so you may find picture of interest. It show a then & now look. Thanks to Mike Heaney (open water swimmer of the year) for that.
Apart from that, if it’s just a bit of information you need regardless of when you wish to join us please contact me anytime on 07976 322417 or just drop me an email.
See you next week Andy
